A website with nothing in but all texts is boring and not attractive at all. That is why images are present in almost every website that you see. If you are looking to use your images to optimize your website, you should know that images are not recognized by search engine bots. Now how do you optimize your images? The use of alternate text on all of your images should be implemented. Let’s say an online shop that is selling LCD TV’s wants to optimize his website and images for the keyword “best lcd tv, they can either manually put alternate on their images or create a script that automatically generates alternate texts.
Keep in mind that keywords should not be over used. Over use of keywords is not liked by search engines and will be treated as spamming. This could have your website banned from their indexes and it will not appear in any query by any user. I’ve heard also of people succeeding and getting a massive amount of traffic from images search results. If you are lucky, you may experience the same from optimizing your images. Also, for your users’ sake, try to use proper alt text for your images. Do not use the alt text “sexy woman” for an image of and old man.
