Default Superbike 2000

Superbike 2000

Superfast Motor:
----------------
While you're driving press aprilia. You schould here
a sound.

All old riders:
---------------
At the main menu type "oldgoestonew"to have all the
riders from 1997-1998.

Hints:
------
Although the Accelerator Help setting is necessary to keep
from wiping out when you (inevitably) slide off the track,
the Automatic Brake Aid should be disabled as soon as you
are comfortable with a chosen track. The AI riders will eat
you alive at many of the circuits if you have this turned on.

As a beginner, you should stick to the outside chase view
while learning the tracks. You can see much farther down
the road from this perspective, and also receive better
visual clues about your bike's attitude while braking and
cornering.

If you choose to run with full crash effects disabled which,
considering the extraordinary amount of time you will lose
picking up your bike and pushing it back into the race, isn't
a bad idea then you may find it quicker to simply let an
impending wipeout happen rather than try to steer off the
track to avoid it. This way, you lose only a couple of
seconds before the game resets you back on your bike, rather
than the half-minute it could take you to negotiate your way
through grass and gravel traps.

Don't be afraid to experiment with different settings at the
garage screen. Although you can't put responsive-steering
algorithms back into the game, you can significantly alter
the bike's handling and acceleration characteristics to
better suit your preferences and riding style.

If you have spent a lot of time with Formula 1 racing sims,
then you will have to retrain yourself to properly negotiate
many of the familiar SBK 2000 tracks. A bike has a pair of
very small contact patches and can't match the speed of a
high-down-force Grand Prix car through most corners.
Slow way down for approaching bends, and don't be in too
much of a hurry to get back on the throttle on the exit.
