Electronic Arts have thrown a blow to PS3 owners, confirming that they have put development on Red alert 3 on hold for the console. No reason has been given for the resources being pulled, or indeed, whether work could eventually be continued in the future.

Confirmation that EA LA is focusing on the PC and Xbox 360 versions, which will ship simultaniously in the Autumn was given by the representative.

This comes only a day after Sony announced that they are cancelling two first-party games for the console - The Getaway and Eight Days.
